Well if you have then you should rethink what you eat-

Hundreds of sharks an hour get their fins cut off, every. single. one. It's also estimated that 100 million sharks have their fins viciously sliced off with knifes! It's outrageous! Sharks have a harder time repopulating as it is! Sharks are like sea turtles but with sharp teeth! After they slice their fins off, they let them go into the water even though they can't swim anymore!! Yeah, yeah, I know sharks have a bad reputation but sharks do have predators too! They are killed off by orcas in the oceans. (Not all the time but still isn't good for the population) There is an increasing drop in shark populations from the late 1900's. No! It's not just great white sharks that are being killed. Species of sharks like Whale sharks, hammerheads, hound sharks, tiger sharks, and so many more! These fins are being shipped off to restaurants and millions of dollars are being made off of trillions of lives. Do you know how crucial it is to have sharks in our oceans? And to think, we are already polluting the oceans with our "$1.00 chip bag" that you threw on the ground. That crap kills way more sea creatures than how much marine life that sharks kill-

Let me give you some examples-:

Again, sharks are in the upper region of the food chain- They help keep fish population under control- They kill the weak and sick fish, which without them, might harm us if those fish develop a DNA related disease.- (Hence, survival of the fittest)
Sharks also leave left overs for other fish to feed on! Which also, a big contribution to the ecosystem!
They also are carriers of carbon! They eat eels and starfish and spread nutrients!
Did you know, sharks could also help cure diseases! Yes! Have you ever seen a shark get sick? No? Well then get smart and think about this!
Without sharks coral reefs would die! The fish population would get so overwhelmingly large, that they would eat all of the oceans coral! Coral reefs are what keeps the ocean clean and keeps animals living! If those corals die off then the fish die off and if the fish die off, then we won't have fish to eat- and do you know how many animals eat fish??? Those animal eat the fish and drop their leavings and naturally fertilize the lands! Without fertile land we won't have crops! Without crops, cows, pigs, horses, sheep, etc will die! You know what happens if cattle and other meat producing animals die? Well, we won't have any fucking meat- aka your dogs, cats, snakes. They all die- Of course this won't all happen in our time but if we keep shoving things away and ignoring huge problems, we will be killed by our own greed-

(BTW the picture above this text shows a fin with a notch in it. Those notches are there because that sharks had currently been tagged-)

There is a thing called "Shark Protection" but at this rate sharks will probably go extinct in 2047- and the only sharks left would be found in zoos.

You people are going crazy about illegal shark finning, when none of you know about the horrific illegal whaling in the antarctic.

Whales aren't dying as fast? The quota for the whalers is 333 minke whales, I'm pretty sure that's more startling than shark finning.

"A recent report published in the journal Marine Policy revealed that an estimated 100 million sharks are killed by humans every year. The paper added that the number of sharks killed could actually be anywhere between 63 million and 273 million.Mar 27, 2013"

Yes, it's sad, but you're acting like nobody knows this, if people keep taking the fins of sharks it's because of us, the costumers who keep paying for these kinds of things

It's to spread awareness- It could ultimately come past someone who can do something about it. It is also something rat isn't very known and it needs to stop because if sharks dissapear then everything else does too.

How does it do more harm?? Give me five good reasons why it is bad to so call, "spam" about saving our ocean's ecosystem.

Do you KNOW the definition of spam? Spam is "irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a large number of recipients."

How exactly is spreading awareness about shark finning 'irrelevant' or 'inappropriate'.

This is is not spam and is not bad for these exact reasons:
1:It helps spread awareness.
2:Sending different messages to any people takes way too much time. Why do you think businesses don't do that, hm?
3:If we don't pay attention to things like these, our world will be severely off balance. Sharks are keystone predators in the ocean and keep the populations under control. (Example of what will happen is like how the wolves were nearly hunted to extinction and if you learned about that in school, you'd see the similarities)
4:It does NOT contain any inappropriate message! It is to SAVE SHARKS.
5:Would you say the same thing about cancer awareness? How do you think people spread the message about cancer? They sent things to other people on the internet. All they did was simply spread it around to help others and not for personal gain.

I am not doing this for personal gain or to be annoying to anyone. I'm trying to inform as many people as I can at once without having to send 10 paragraphs to people. (Which WOULD be considered as 'spam')

Also there is a website where you can donate and spread awareness

www.pangeaseed.foundation/

You our are very welcome.
